CBRE, the world’s and local market leader in real estate consultancy, intermediated the acquisition of a 42 ha plot by BSH Electrocasnice Manufacturing SRL, the Romanian subsidiary of the German concern BSH Hausgeräte GmbH. The property is situated in Simeria, and it will be used for building a washing machines factory. The plant will be the German manufacturer’s first unit in Romania, and the fourth in Europe (in addition to the ones in Germany, Spain and Poland). The 110 million euro investment represents the biggest capital placement made in the last 30 years in Hunedoara, in a unit that manufactures finite products.
Within this transaction, CBRE had the role of an integrating consultant and performed an extensive project management activities, from identifying the best location according to the beneficiary’s needs, consulting on identifying the landowners and obtaining the necessary documents for the acquisition, to assisting the client on the consolidation and negotiations with more than 50 different landlords and coordinating all technical discussions between the stakeholders and the local authorities. The successful completion of this land sale to BSH will create more than 700 jobs, contributing significantly to the region's economic development.
