6 out of 10 households in Romania buy from discount stores

The picture of the modern commerce is changing in 2013. The players of the retail market in Romania increasingly make their presence felt more and more, both by a greater number of stores, and also through intense promotion in media

In 2012, these actions were reflected in an increase in modern trade by one percentage point from the previous year, attracting 49% of the total FMCG market for home consumption. In the last quarter of 2012, the ratio between the modern and the traditional trade has reached 50/50 in value.
