AmRest, a leading European restaurant and foodservice platform, will open on September 26th its first Burger King restaurant in Romania. The new HOME OF THE WHOPPER® will be located in Mega Mall and will gather a team of 46 grilling kings.
Whopper touchdown in Romania will reward all the brand lovers by offering 100 free Whoppers to the real Burger King fans – the first who will be present at the opening event on September 26, 2019, starting 12 am. Furthermore, with a plan to bring as many Romanians back home, where everything tastes better, the brand plans several activities in both social and in-store: a special platform through which Romanians living abroad can win plane tickets to Bucharest to enjoy a Whopper at home & extra promo prices for those who miss home, 2+1 menu offers, product vouchers and many more.
The new Burger King restaurant in Bucharest will be located in Mega Mall food court and will have a generous dining area, a refill option for drinks and will be open from Monday to Sunday from 10:00 A.M. to 22:00 P.M.
“With an ambitious strategy, by the end of 2019, we plan to open two more restaurants in Bucharest: one located in a mall food court, and another one in Bucharest central area. Thus, we will reach a number three restaurants in Bucharest at the end of 2019. Furthermore, our plans for 2020 are to open five or six new restaurants. The QSR market in Romania has a lot of potential, with clients being very specific when it comes to their burgers, but we are confident that Burger King and AmRest team is ready to deliver according to these expectancies”, stated Alan Laughlin, President Burger King AmRest.
Amrest and Burger King continue the recruitment campaign in Bucharest, with wage offers ranging from 1,750 Lei net (2,950 gross lei) for the workers in the restaurants (Crew Members) and 2,500 to 3,800 lei net (4,250 – 6,500 lei gross) for managers. The benefits that are available to all Burger King employees consist of meal tickets, medical care and additional attractive bonuses.
