"In a competitive economic environment and still affected by the crisis, 2012 was a year of growth for the system of selective collection of packaging waste. Recycled quantities exceeded 6 percent overall recycling obligation in 2012, namely the 55% " said Sorin Cristian Popescu, CEO of Eco-Rom Ambalaje.
The positive trendof the results is due to sustained growth of the industry contribution to achieving a coherent and effective system of selective collection of packaging waste, able to meet these requirements by developing waste management services for recycling. For 2012, this amount stood at RON 40 million, with over 20% more than previous year.
