The state supports the employment of victims of domestic violence, but the amount can only cover half of the minimum wage in the economy

The segment of vulnerable people in Romanian society is an extremely complex one, referring to those in various critical situations who need financial support from the state to have a decent life. Victims of domestic violence represent one of the categories that need long-term support, not only material, but also moral, including through integration into society. During April this year, Law no. 45/2025 was adopted, which complements the provisions of Law no. 76/2002, in the sense of including in the category of vulnerable people and victims of domestic violence and granting financial support to companies that employ such people.
