The smartphone market recorded its first annual contraction in Q1

According to AGERPRES, the global sales of smartphones decreased by 3% in the first quarter of this year compared with the same period last year, this was the first contraction in the annual growth rate ever recorded for this market, announced yesterday the market research company Strategy Analytics, informs Reuters.

According to Strategy Analytics, between January and March 2016, worldwide were delivered 334,6 million smartphones, less than 345 million units shipped the same period of the last year, as a series of major markets such as China have reached maturity and concerns regarding the global economy have affected consumers confidence.
