The natural gas production will increase by 4.5 % over the next 3 years; the imports will remain at the level of 2016

According to AGERPRES, Romania's natural gas production will increase in the next three years by 4.5%, while imports will remain at the 2016 level, according to Energy Balance Prognosis published this month by the National Forecast Commission.

Thus, the production of gas will increase from 8,46 million tones of oil equivalent in 2016 to 8,46 million tones in 2017 (plus 1,3 % annually), to 8,585 million tones in 2018 (plus 1,5%) and 8,73 million tones in 2019 (plus 1.7%).
