The promotion system of renewable energy in Romania, established by Law no. 220/2008 (the Act), is still in the junior age compared to other similar promotional schemes from countries with tradition in this sector, such as Germany, the Netherlands and France

However, we can say that until now, the promotion system had a dynamic existence, characterized by successive changes, preceded by a relatively long period of inapplicability.
