New apartments in Bucharest are up to 60% more expensive than the old ones

The Northern Area of the Capital registered the biggest differences in the average trading price between old and new apartments, according to a study conducted by HomeFinders.ro

The study is based on a comparative analysis of average trading prices for apartments in old buildings versus apartments in new buildings, located in the same area. The analysis reveals the existence of certain areas in Bucharest where price differences are significant. Some of the largest differences are found on Zagazului Street, where average prices of new blocks are 60.58% higher compared to houses built in the 80's, located nearby, in Aviation district. Thus, the average trading price in new blocks on Zagazului Street is about 2200 euros per square meter, while the average price for an apartment in an old building located in the Aviation district reach 1370 euros per square meter.
