KPMG Real Estate Lending Barometer: The class of industrial / logistics assets is the most attractive post-COVID

While, compared to previous years, the industrial / logistics asset class has become the most popular, on average, in EEC economies, "office buildings" have remained the preferred asset class

The industrial / logistics asset class is currently the most attractive for most Central and Eastern European (EEC) banks in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the latest edition of the KPMG Property Lending Barometer (”KPMG’s Property Lending Barometer”- PLB), an annual study that seeks to quantify banks' views on lending to European real estate markets. This preference is in contrast to most pre-COVID banking financing in Europe, which has usually focused on the office building segment.
