Clarifications on the interest rate of the NBR's monetary policy: determinants and international comparisons

The clarifications start from the reality that several factors determine the stimulating character of the monetary policy

During 2020, the National Bank of Romania gradually reduced the monetary policy interest rate from 2.50% per year to 1.50% per year; an additional reduction took place on January 18, 2021, up to 1.25% per year.
