AmCham Report: Romania registered an annual increase of 4.5% GDP/capita, 30% of EU average

According to AGERPRES, the data released on Tuesday in the second edition of the Competitiveness Report at a speciality conference of American Chamber of Commerce in Romania (AmCham Romania) show that Romania registered an annual increase of 4.5% of the indicator on the gross domestic product (GDP) per capita, but in 2014 this represented only 30% of the European Union (EU) average.

According to the document, of the publication of the previous Report, drawn up by the AmCham in 2011, Romania had three years of intense economic development and progress across a range of economic sectors and public policy, such as labor laws, corruption, inflation.
