In 2014, Romania marked the biggest transaction of IT in CSE , with the acquisition of Live Rail Inc, made by Facebook for $ 500 million .

Compared to 2013, in 2014 the value of transactions soared by 186 %, reaching a total of 3.14 billion dollars , while their number increased by only 24% in the same period, according to the EY study - M & A Barometer 2014 Romania . The values of this transactions ??were made public for 37 % of the 182 transactions that took place in Romania in 2014 .
