42% of Romanians consider a second hand car to be a smart investment, according to the SPOTAWHEEL study

Interest in used cars continues to grow amid reduced car production, the global crisis over supply chain disruptions, logistical difficulties and rising inflation

  • Almost half of Romanians prefer a second hand car because they cannot afford one in the showroom, and 42% consider that a used vehicle is a smart investment, because the devaluation of the car is smaller after a year.
  • The test drive is the decisive moment for 30% of the respondents when they choose the model or brand of the car.
  • Over 50% of the Romanians surveyed are willing to pay extra for an inspected and certified car.
