The DHL Carpathian Marathon powered by MPG has reached its anniversary in 2019, and many supporters, athletes and public figures have decided to join the event that offers the chance of an adventure of 10, in the heart of the Carpathians. They also support the cause of the Romani paralympics at the Tokyo Paralympic Games in 2020.
Enthusiasts, professionals or amateurs, sports and nature lovers are expected on June 22, at The Keys of Gradistei Fundata, to line up at one of the Marathon, Semimaraton or Stafeta samples. Small children, aged between 5 and 13, can enroll at the Children's Cross. DHL Carpathian Marathon powered by MPG supports the sport and the harmonious development of children and young people so it offers free enrollment to all participants under 18!
Top athletes, world-renowned champions, public figures and bloggers, adepts of a balanced and healthy lifestyle, joined the DHL Carpathian Marathon community powered by MPG.
Among them are: Constantina Dita, Andreea Raducan, Gabriela Szabo, Monica Rosu, Dragos Bucurenci, Mihai Morar, Andreea Berecleanu, Sonia Silver Ionescu, Carmen Negoita, Nicolle Stanese, Chef Simona Pope, Dr. Serban Damian, Ellie White, Eli Roman, Florentina Opris and Cristian Simonca (bloguluotrava.ro). Some of them will be with us at the start line on June 22, and their message is common: Give yourself the chance of a 10th adventure and give the good! All participants will run this year for Romanian paralympic athletes, aiming to raise as much a sum as we can to the National Paralympic Committee.
"The story of DHL Carpathian Marathon has reached its tenth edition, which makes us proud. Tradition and social involvement are the elements that make this special event, being one of the first mountain running events in Romania that has retained its DNA over time. I participate every year in the rehearsal test and load me with positive energy from the thousands of participants! I am glad that this year, for the fifth consecutive time, we will support the paralympic athletes, so they will have the chance to participate in the Tokyo Paralympic Games in 2020 and to represent Romania successfully. Constantina Dita, the only marathon champion of Romania, will also participate this year at the event: "I am very delighted to be back with the DHL Carpathian Marathon powered by MPG, at a special, anniversary edition! I really like running on mountain trails and I wish that on June 22 I can run to the semimaraton. I appreciate very much the cause that DHL Carpathian Marathon powered by MPG continues to support. Romanian paralympic sportsmen really need our full support! They deserve to aim as high as we can to give them the strength and the chance to follow their dreams, " she said.

" It's the first marathon that I join. I do not practice sports to participate in competitions. I'm doing exercises to compete with myself. I think this is the essence of the DHL Carpathian Marathon powered by MPG. Win the competition with your limits. And the best example for overcoming the limits is even the ones we run for: paralympic athletes, " said Mihai Morar.
"I'm often asked" why I'm running ". My answer is that I run because, in addition to the health and clarity of my mind, the running brings joy. It's also a form of meditation and my way of demonstrating that our only limits are those in our minds. Every run is a reward in itself and succeeds every time to bring my smile on my lips. I'm glad to run the 21-mile test again at DHL Carpathian Marathon powered by MPG. It is an incredible adventure to run on one of Romania's most beautiful mountain trails, along with extraordinary people that unites the same passion for performance, and the fact that my effort will help Romanian paralympic sportsmen give me an extra motivation to I'm self-surpassing. I hope to gather as many people as possible on June 22 at the starting line of The Keys of Gradistei Fundata! " said Dragos Bucurenci.
