The Minimum Base Gross Salary increased to Ron 750 as of the 1st February and to Ron 800 as of the 1st July

The Government issued on 22.01.2013 the Resolution no. 23/2013 for establishing the minimum gross base salary at national level, which was published in the Official Gazette, Part I no. 52 of 23.01.2013. According to the Government Resolution no. 23/2013, the minimum gross base salary at national level amounts RON 750 per month starting with the 1st of February 2013, for a complete work schedule of 168,667 hours on average per month, representing 4,44 RON/hour.

Starting with the 1st of July 2013 the minimum gross base salary at national level will amount RON 800 per month for a complete work schedule of 168,667 hours on average per month, representing 4,74 RON/hour. Establishing base salaries under the level provided by the afore-mentioned Resolution for the personnel employed based on individual employment agreements represents misdemeanor and is sanctioned with a fine between RON 1,000 and 2,000.
