Romania is registering the fastest growth in eCommerce in the last year according to the eCommerce Europe report, although an ESA survey places Romania the last place in Europe on the share of eCommerce in GDP and in the total retail.
Equally, the market is gradually maturing, being the country where 24% of European buyers have made acquisitions across borders. The eCommerce market in Romania reached 2.8 billion euros last year, and in 2018 it will exceed 3 billion euros.

According to the ZF, on the consumption side of GDP, consumption was the main driver of economic growth.
