Romanians spent EUR 115 mil on Austrian food and beverage products in 2014

The Commercial Office of the Austrian Embassy in Bucharest organizes, between 7-13 May 2015, an event presenting Austrian food products within one of the most important supermarket chains in Romania, Carrefour, which aims at positioning and supporting new Austrian companies on the Romanian market.

With exports worth EUR 115 million 2014 in the food and beverage industry, representing an increase of 4.6% compared to 2007 and with a foreign trade totalling EUR 3.1 billion, Austria continues to be one of Romania’s commercial partners.

In 2014, the biggest exports from Austria to Romania were those of fresh pork products worth 8.8 EUR million, chocolate (EUR 6 million), cheese products (EUR 4.5 million) and pastry products (EUR 3.4 million).
