The amount resulted from approximate 6 million transfers, of which 85 percent have been operated in local currency intra bank and inter banks, while 15 percent have been operated in foreign currency.
According to Bogdan Marin, executive director of Retail at BCR, the bank expects that 2013 to sustain the upturn of previous year, following the expansion of remote options for different banking transactions.
The largest yearly boosts, y-o-y, registered for telephone and internet- operated banking transactions have been operated by individuals authorized. They operated 35 percent more inter and intra banking transactions in 2012, compared with previous year. The amounts operated by individuals recorded 8 percent increase in 2012 versus 2011, the bank announced.
