Private pension funds made direct investments in the economy of more than RON 2.7bn

According to the data centralized by the Financial Supervisory Authority, private pension funds made investments worth RON 2.7bn in companies listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (including financial banking companies).

Private pension funds have stocks at all the companies involved in the initial public offerings launched by the Romanian state (Nuclearelectrica, Romgaz, Electrica), thus being amongst the main shareholders of these companies.

 

The direct investments in the economy made through the listings are worth more than RON 675mn and represented 19.47% of the internal demand for stock and bonds from state-owned companies interested in attracting capital for development.
