Philippe Lhotte okayed BRD General Manager and Administrator by BNR

Romania's Central Bank (BNR) approved the decision of the BRD - Groupe Societe Generale shareholders to appoint Philippe Charles Lhotte as banking administrator for a four- year term, the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) web page informs.


Groupe Societe Generale Ordinary General Assembly, on Sept 13 approved the appointment of Philippe Charles Lhotte as banking administrator and general manager. Likewise, the shareholders empowered the Bank's deputy general manager Petre Bunescu to sign the administration agreement, the Additional Act and the updated Foundation Act, with the newly elected general manager Philippe Charles Lhotte, on BRD-GSG behalf.


Attending the Groupe Societe Generale Ordinary General Assembly, on Sept 13 were shareholders representing 86.98 percent of the Bank's share capital, and it was BRD interim president Petre Bunescu who headed the meeting. BRD Groupe Societe Generale is Romania's second largest bank in terms of assets, and the second big stock exchange capitalization on BVB. BRD belongs to Groupe Societe Generale, one of the biggest financial group of the Eurozone.
