Since January, the centralized market traded 990,330 green certificates (the green certificate is a document released for a quantity of 1 MWh of electricity produced from renewable energy sources). Eligible for the trading system of green certificates are renewable energy produced by hydropower plants with an installed capacity of 10 MW, wind, solar, geothermal and associated fuel gases, biomass, biogas, landfill gas and sludge digester gas from wastewater treatment plants. Mandatory annual quota for 2012 is 8.3 percent of electricity supplied by each supplier to final consumers. The national target for 2015 and 2020 for renewable energy within the final consumption of electricity is 35 percent, respectively 38 percent.
