Safety for the harshest winter conditions, offered since 1934
Nokian Tires invented the winter tire to cope with the harsh winter in Finland. Before the innovation of Nokian Tyres, there were no tires suitable for winter driving: the tires had a smooth surface and required snow chains for grip. The winter tire had a textured profile pattern, designed to provide grip and traction, and its design allowed for automatic snow cleaning while driving, thus ensuring a safe journey on winter roads.
