Cristina Rosu becomes Partner in the banking and finance team. She has over 18 years of professional experience and has been part of the KPMG Legal - Toncescu & Associates team since she graduated from law school. Cristina has extensive experience in the financial-banking sector, providing legal advice to both international clients, financial institutions, and local investors. She has significant experience in implementing complex M&A projects in the financial sector. She has been involved in projects that have targeted the sale of credit institutions or non-banking financial institutions, business transfers, as well as major transactions involving the transfer of credit portfolios.
Irina Stanica becomes Partner in the employment team. She has over 20 years of expertise in employment law and a focused, client-centric approach, as Coordinator of the Employment Practice of KPMG Legal, Irina has been instrumental in advising numerous clients on complex legal matters, fostering strong relationships built on trust and excellence. Irina's extensive experience encompasses advising both local and international clients on a wide range of employment law issues, including the negotiation of collective agreements, dismissal and collective redundancy procedures, compliance investigations, stock option plans, due diligence projects, cross-border secondment arrangements and the safeguarding of employees' rights during transfers of undertakings (TUPE). She also specializes in ESG compliance and anti-harassment policies.
Dragos Iamandoiu becomes Partner in the Corporate, Commercial, and M&A team. With 10 years of experience, Dragos is highly specialized in mergers & acquisitions, as well as corporate and commercial matters. He has been involved in numerous significant M&A transactions across various industries in Romania. Dragos has represented both high-profile international and local investors, advising buyers and sellers alike during due diligence processes, negotiations, and the closing of business sales. Dragos holds an LLM in International Business Law from King’s College London and obtained the Bucharest Bar Award for qualifying with the highest grade in the 2014 Romanian Bar Exam. In addition to his work as a practicing lawyer, Dragos was an assistant professor at the Faculty of Law at the University of Bucharest for more than 5 years, where he lectured on International Business Law and Conflict of Laws.
Calin Dragoman becomes Partner in the litigation team. He is a lawyer who specializes in civil litigation, with a focus on fiscal and commercial disputes, as well as insolvency and risk management procedures. With over 11 years of experience, he has been involved in significant projects related to fiscal matters (VAT, Transfer Pricing, Profit Tax, Excises), commercial disputes (contractual liability, enforcement, insolvency procedures), and internal risk management, including coordination of white-collar crime cases.
