Enel Green Power: New photovoltaic plant enters service in Romania

Enel Green Power has connected to the grid its “Colibasi” photovoltaic plant, located in Giurgiu county in south-eastern Romania.

With a total installed capacity of 6.5 MW, the new, operating plant will be able to generate up to about 8 million kWh of power each year, meeting the annual energy requirements of some 7 thousand Romanian households.

The clean energy generated by the Colibasi plant will avoid the atmospheric emission of about 4 thousand tonnes of CO2 a year.

Colibasi is EGP’s third photovoltaic plant in Romania, after the Berceni 1 and Berceni 2 plants, and increases the installed solar capacity of the Enel Group’s renewables specialist in the country to about 26 MW.
Enel Green Power also has approximately 498 MW of wind capacity in service in Romania.
