Deloitte Academy, the professional training unit of Deloitte Romania, brings the first Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) cybersecurity trainings in our country, following a new partnership with CertNexus, the global provider of technology certifications and micro-credentials for IT, business and security professionals. The new certification programs that Deloitte Academy adds to its public training schedule broaden IT and security professionals’ knowledge and validate their skills using globally recognized curriculum and high stakes examinations. The completed Deloitte Academy training schedule will also include incident response and secure coding trainings following this partnership.
“A recent Gartner report predicts that 5.8 billion IoT endpoints will be in use worldwide by 2020, while IDC forecasted that the global IoT spending will reach USD 745 billion this year. AI is also on the rise, at an increasing growth pace. They both bring incredible opportunities, but also raise security threats, this is why organizations need the best trained professionals in order to succeed in this environment,” said Andrei Ionescu, Risk Advisory Partner, Deloitte Romania.
George Daniliuc, Manager for Deloitte Academy Romania, added: “As technology and the threat landscape evolves, so must the skill set of cybersecurity professionals. With the addition of these new trainings in our portfolio, we are able to help companies prepare their first responders in order to reduce the time in which an attack is detected and properly mitigated. This will be useful especially for companies that fall under GDPR and the NIS Directive, which have a very short window of time to detect and respond to cyber incidents.”
