The new unit will deliver a sales area of aproximate 140 sqm and 2,000 products. The first proximity unit of Carrefour Expres network has been opened in October 2011, in Bucharest. In Romania, Carrefour counts 97 stores, of which 24 hypermarkets, 60 supermarkets and 13 proximity stores opened under the brand Carrefour Express".
Carrefour is the largest European retailer in Europe and the second largest worldwide, with 32 country offices and more than 1,500 opened stores. The company has over 45,000 employees globally, according to the retailer's official data.
