BBVA and Visa launch the first commercial solution for cloud-based mobile payments

The Visa cloud-based payment model will facilitate the international expansion of the BBVA Wallet service from Spain to Mexico, Chile and the USA this year.

BBVA becomes the first global banking group to launch a commercial solution for NFC mobile payments with the help of the new cloud-based payment models from Visa. The new system allows BBVA customers who own Android mobile devices equipped with NFC to make contactless payments by simply downloading the up-to-date version of the BBVA Wallet app.
