Crystal System Group Ltd. in cooperation with ASTI Automation installed and integrated the didactic Photovoltaic Station into the already installed didactic Cyber Physical Factory of Crystal System Group Ltd. within the University POLITEHNICA Bucharest. The integration of the didactic Photovoltaic Station aims to demonstrate the positive impact of alternative “green” energy on manufacturing processes and by this contributes to the European Sustainability Goals.
The acquisition of the didactic Photovoltaic Station was made possible by the initiative of the Faculty of Entrepreneurship, Engineering and Business Administration in close cooperation with the Faculty of Power Engineering which is the project manager of / for the installed didactic Cyber Physical Factory at the university. The didactic Photovoltaic Station was financed with the support of EIT (www.eitmanufacturing.eu) within the program “Connect SEE”. Component Description of the Photovoltaic Station. Most important equipment is:
- 300W monocrystalline tiltable photovoltaic equipment;
- Projector type solar simulator (4 x 250W);
- Integrated MPPT type solar controller;DC/AC inverter at 220 VDC 1000 W;
- Battery type SOLAR GEL 12V, 60 Ah
- Module: Display and Transmission of input parameters: Vdc, Adc, Vdc battery, TEMP grdC (photovoltaic panel);
- Module: Display and Transmit output parameters: Vac, Aac, Wpower meter;
- Module: Direct Current and Alternating Current Consumer;
- PLC Siemens Simatic S7-1200 series with analog input modules and compatible communication for data transmissions to the cloud via IoT interface.
Students will learn the basics of photovoltaic and will be able to simulate the impact of green energy in industrial production processes to optimize energy consumption and reduce CO2 footprint. In parallel students will learn about Industrial data transport architectures in Cloud and Data Analytics.
