According to AGERPRES, the electricity consumption increased by 4.2%, last year, more than 54,8 billion kWh, public lighting registering a decrease of 1,1 %, shows a press release of the National Statistics Institute (NSI).
"The main primary energy resources in 2016 totaled 33.162 million tonnes of oil equivalent (toe), increasing by 253 500 toe compared to 2015. The domestic production totaled 20.479 million toe, down by 1.582 million tones from the previous year, while imports were 12.682 million toe. In 2016, electricity resources were 69.691 billion kWh, an increase of 257.5 million kWh compared to 2015 ", is shown in the document.
