The contribution of the digital economy in 2019 was estimated at up to 16% of GDP, if we consider the digitalization of sectors such as agriculture or public, and according to the narrow definition, the contribution of the digital economy to GDP is estimated at 8.6% year 2019, the figure by which Romania is below the EU average, but relatively in line with neighboring countries, according to an ANIS study conducted by Ernst & Young.
