According to the study conducted by Euler Hermes, the automotive industry is one of the main pillars of the Romanian economy, employing a total of over 150,000 people and contributing 47% of exports in 2016.
Year after year, the automotive industry enjoys a strong return. 2016 recorded impressive growth rate, 9% compared to 2015 and the overall average has increased by 1.6%. At this rate, we can talk about an increase of 6-7% per year by 2020.
