According to AGERPRES, the European Commission data show that, in 2015, EU agricultural and food exports have reached a record value of 129 billion euros, with an increase of 6% compared to 2014, the main drivers of this growth being represented by the solid performances recorded in cereals, wines and live animals exports.
However, the increse of 6% in EU agricultural and food exports was exceeded by a 8.7% advance in imports, up to 113 billion euros.
Therefore, in 2015, the EU trade balance for agricultural and food products has registered a surplus of 16 billion euros, less than the surplus of 18 billion euros recorded in 2014.
