Orange Romania announces its 2025 financial results

B2B services remain an important growth driver, supported by increasing demand for integrated connectivity, IT, and cybersecurity solutions

In 2025, Orange Romania reported consolidated revenues of EUR 1.455 billion, representing a 2.9% increase compared to the previous year, signalling a positive development following the integration of Orange Romania and Orange Romania Communications. In the fourth quarter, Orange Romania achieved consolidated revenues of EUR 408.6 million, up 11.5% year-on-year.

As of 31 December 2025, Orange Romania provided mobile services to 9.1 million customers, fixed broadband internet services to over 1 million customers, and TV services to approximately 1 million customers. The mobile customer base was impacted by a decline in the prepaid segment, driven by market maturity, partially offset by continued growth in subscriptions.

The fastest network maintains its market leadership

In 2025, Orange Romania continued to expand its 5G/5G+ network, delivering speeds of up to five times faster than 4G and reaching 88 cities nationwide.

The development of 5G/5G+ was also reflected in urban infrastructure projects, including the deployment of the fastest mobile network in the Bucharest metro system. For the first time, passengers began benefiting from speeds of up to 1 Gbps in selected stations and tunnels, as well as from a more stable connection while travelling underground.

Orange’s network performance was reconfirmed by independent studies, with the company maintaining its position as the fastest mobile and fixed internet network in Romania. In 2025, Orange Romania was re-certified by LCC International as the best-performing mobile network in Romania for voice and data services, both in metropolitan and rural areas.

In addition, in 2025 Orange Romania offered its business customers the first Wi-Fi 7 solution, delivering speeds of up to 4 Gbps across multiple devices and up to 2 Gbps on a single device.

B2B segment performance

In 2025, the B2B segment delivered a strong performance for Orange Romania, with revenues increasing by over 14% compared to the previous year.

The expansion of the 5G network and the modernisation of fixed infrastructure directly supported this evolution. Significant contributions came from large-scale IT infrastructure projects and device deliveries, particularly within the security services portfolio, reflecting accelerating demand for advanced cybersecurity solutions.

To better address market needs, Orange Romania launched SCUT, a cybersecurity company in which it holds a majority stake, developed together with Orange Cyberdefense, the European leader in the field. The new company introduced, for the first time in Romania, a unified digital protection model covering the entire prevention and cyber threat response chain.

On the B2C segment, Orange remains focused on customer needs

Orange continued to strengthen its position as a convergent operator through attractive device bundles (smartphones, smart TVs and connected devices) and access to video-on-demand content such as Netflix and HBO. The flexible commercial offering launched in the first half of 2025 addressed a wide range of customer needs, including adaptable mobile telephony, internet and TV services.

Growing performance for the YOXO digital service

YOXO celebrated its fifth anniversary and recorded a 24% increase in its customer base. In December 2025, a new portfolio was launched, including SEE roaming and international minutes across all plans, with additional benefits for users.

Social and environmental impact

In 2025, Orange Romania continued to advance its ESG commitments, reducing total CO₂ emissions as well as overall energy consumption by 4% compared to 2024, supported by initiatives to decommission copper networks and 3G technology. In addition, 100% of the electricity purchased directly by the company came from renewable sources. Orange Romania also signed a new 10-year virtual green power purchase agreement, covering approximately 40 GWh annually.

More than 130,000 beneficiaries participated in digital education and social inclusion programmes supported by the Orange Foundation, whose budget reached EUR 2.5 million in 2025. In addition, the launch of the CSR platform For Good Connections created new links between parents, teachers and children around online safety, reaching over 11,000 beneficiaries through dedicated educational initiatives.

The 2025 results reflect a competitive market environment, in which pricing pressure continues to influence the evolution of the customer base. Our efforts in simplification and investment discipline have enabled us to prioritise areas with a direct impact on the quality of services delivered to customers – the network, digital services and integrated solutions for businesses.

Infrastructure modernisation will remain a priority in 2026. We will continue to develop the 5G/5G+ network to further expand nationwide coverage and capacity,” said Julien Ducarroz, CEO of Orange Romania.
