Held under the auspices of the Centenary of Romania, the general theme of the event is "Romanian Innovation Engine".
The event is structured in three important sections and each will cover a host of different needs of the participants:
- The Smart Innovation Engine is the innovation innovation section by Smart Alliance Innovation-Technology Cluster members and partners.
- Reshape the future of the Romanian R & D section includes an interactive panel that will challenge guests and audience in debating feasible solutions to address the increased need for Romanian IT & C research and innovation centers. Representatives of the academic environment, international organizations, technology transfer centers, the business environment and associations will be invited to discuss this topic.
- SMART B2B MeetPoint runs under the auspices of the South African Embassy in Romania and ROSABA (Romanian South African Business Association) and addresses all those interested in networking, new partners and internationalization of the business.

Smart Alliance Innovation Summit is the only event in Romania dedicated exclusively to the innovation and presentation of IT & C-specific solutions created by Romanian specialists using state-of-the-art technologies.
Like every year, spotlight will be put on Smart Alliance member companies, niche leaders on which they work and who have built an impeccable reputation in Romania and internationally.
Smart Alliance - Innovation Technology Cluster is one of the few clusters that, just two years after setting up, have been awarded the European Secretariat for Cluster Analysis (ESCA) under the auspices of the European Commission.
