Total revenue decreased by 13.3 percent, to eur 1,780 million, compared to eur 2.053 milioane in the first half of last year, mostly due to the evolution of new regulations that eliminate the deposits of life insurance business in Poland. Despite the challenges, Allianz's activities in CEE generated a strong operating profit of eur 123 million, slightly below the level of eur 128 millions, recorded in the first half of the previous year.
