In the recent years, the aeronautical industry in Romania has attracted a series of investments in production units or repair/maintenance of aircraft and components in both the civil and military categories. Along with the expansion of this industry, the imports of raw materials in Romania or spare parts subjected to processing or used in the repair of aircraft (including aircraft parts) also increased. A good part of the finished products remained in the European market or were exported outside of it.
