“Profi te premiaza” campaign earns special CSR prize

Profi te premiaza, the campaign under which the PROFI stores donate thousands of pieces of IT equipment to hundreds of schools in Romania, has been awarded the Special Prize for community support, during the first edition of the Romanian CSR Awards Gala

“We are happy that the social mission we started in 2011 has not only been noticed, but also awarded,” said PROFI Rom Food General Manager Pawel Musial. We planned and managed to offer students of today one extra chance on tomorrow’s labor market, while also inspiring the communities around schools to join hands in a more united way for a just cause.”

 

The PROFI stores won this prize Because in 2012 they managed to get more than one million people involved in “Profi te premiaza“.

 

The campaign is conducted in partnership with the Ministry of National Education and is to be continued in 2013, for the third consecutive year. In 2011 and 2012, PROFI Rom Food endowed hundreds of schools with more than 3600 de netbooks,  laptops, notebook cases, routers, optical mice and hundreds of video projectors worth in excess of one million euro.

 

During the Romanian CSR Awards Gala organized by CSR Media, prizes were awarded to the companies and personalities that conducted the best  social responsibility campaigns in 2012. Prizes addressed several categories: environment, education, health, community support, employee support, innovative products, Facebook CSR campaigns, internal CSR campaigns. Also awarded were several special prizes: CSR Leader and CSR Star – dedicated to stars who vedetelor involved in CSR campaigns; the most socially responsible blogger – dedicated to bloggers who support CSR campaigns.

 

PROFI Rom Food is the second largest retail network in Romania, with 162 stores and more than 4000 employees in 88 localities, and plans to grow to some 200 stores and 5000 employees by the year end.
