Intellectual property rights become a more important income source for companies worldwide, as they try to recapitalize and optimize the capital they already own. Thus, it is very important for Romanian Companies to aknowledge as soon as possible the potential of using these rights. Thousands of companies worldwide could own this source of capital that they don’t use and, in some cases, they don’t even value. Simon Pearson, EY Lead Advisory Partner, states that big corporations loose sight of intellectual property: „I’ve seen cases in which up to 65% of intelectual property was not being used”.
