The number of contactless transactions carried out with MasterCard and Maestro went up by 636% last year in Romania

In 2015, Romanians made contactless payments with MasterCard and Maestro ten times more than in 2014, this method being integrated more and more into the consumer shopping routine. This is shown by the fact that Romanians pay more often with contactless cards, the number of transactions of this type increased by over 600% in 2015 compared to the previous year.
