SOCIETATEA NATIONALA a SARII S.A. (National Company of Salt S.C.) has as main field of activity mining works performing: prospecting, development, exploitation and preparation of salt resources and non-metallic substances, in the areas where the company is authorized for. Other activities: - Domestic and foreign trade - purchasing and selling of own products - and any other activity or services meant for achieving the company's goals in its fields of activity; - Capitalization of mining caverns from the salt mines as underground deposits, touristic routes, modern health-therapeutic centers, training halls for sportspeople, religious and spiritual meditation dwellings, rooms for international competitions of model plane flying. SALROM is a member of The European Salt Producers Association (E.S.P.A.), located in Paris, and of The Salt Extraction Research Institute (S.M.R.I.), located in Encinitas - California, U.S.A.
