The online publishing market in Romania is very small. According to the ROADS study conducted by IAB Romania, in 2012, the market reached EUR 22.4 million, taking into consideration 1,300 websites. Nevertheless, according to another study conducted by Media FactBook, the market is almost twice as big, reaching EUR 41 million. The huge difference comes from the fact that Media Factbook takes into consideration 2,800 websites, including Facebook and Google, which are not online publishing players, but belong to the area of interactive media.
