The offshore law, adopted on Wednesday in the Parliament, will offer Romania an indisputable competitive advantage in the context of the crisis on the resource market and implicitly benefits determined by investments in exploitation: budgetary revenues from taxes and duties associated with these investments of approximately 5 billion lei annually, new jobs and attracting related investments, according to the report “Analysis of the taxation specific to the production of offshore natural gas in Romania in 2021”, made by PwC Romania for the Petroleum and Gas Employers Federation.
