One of 125 emails sent in the first two months of the year have included malicious files

According to Symantec Intelligence report, in the first two months of the year 2016, the rate of malware in emails continued to grow and manual distribution remains the most common type of scam in social media, while the number of attacks, spam and phishing have been declining.

In total, one of 125 email have contained malware and approximately 1,749 website attacks have been blocked on a daily basis. Regarding social media, manual distributed scams have continued to be the most frequent and represented almost 56% of all social media attacks.
