The biggest difference between Romania and the other states in the region is registered in regards to private insurances for employees. In our country, health insurances are deductible up to 250 euros/ employee annually, and the retirement insurances can be deductible up to 400 euros/ employee/ year. In comparison, these expenses are fully deductible in Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic, if this is specified in the work contract of the employee or in the company’s internal regulations, while in Ukraine, expenses for private insurances for employees are entirely nondeductible.
