MAPEI in the Duomo Square in Milan

From granite slabs to glass mosaic

Milano, the North-Italian metropole of the Lombardia region, is considered one of the design capitals of the world, being at the same time the home of Leonardo da Vinci’s famous painting ‘The Last Supper’. The Duomo of Milan, Santa Maria delle Gratie monastery, Brera art gallery or Sforzesco medieval castle represent the testimony of hundreds of years of artistic expressions.

Rehabilitation of gothic proportions
In the summer of 2014, the visitors of the famous Duomo Square in Milan witnessed the pavement rehabilitation works. The works ended in the fall of the same year and implied the renovation of 5,000 m², which is half of the total surface of the square, the costs reaching around EUR 1 million.
