HempFlax supports the Romanian production of hemp through market awareness and investments

HempFlax sustains this growth trend that gets increasingly higher in Europe.

The industrial sector of the hemp business is continuously growing in Europe, 2015 registering a growth of more than 20%, with 22,000 ha, compared to 18,300 hectares in 2014.

This is a record growth in the growing area, which was founded more than 20 years ago, when several European countries began to cultivate hemp. The largest part of this growth is due to the production of hemp seeds for the food market and new demand for CBD (pharmaceuticals products). In addition, the growing demand for fiber demonstrates the great versatility of the plant.

"We have decided to certify ISCC PLUS  and our production of Romanian hemp and to sustain this trend through raising market awareness and through investments in a growth market," said Oana Suciu, General Manager, HempFlax Romania.
