The ceremony took place on the 10th of April at Bragadiru Palace in Bucharest in front of an audience made of 300 HR Directors, HR practitioners, General Managers and Line Managers from top Romanian companies.

The jury decided to give a special award to the project “STEP outside – investment in education” implemented by TenarisSilcotub. The project has a strong social responsibility component and is dealing with a very important issue that not only Romania is facing: the gap between education and the skills required by the employers.
The largest number of applications was collected in the “Best Learning and Development project” category (18 applications) followed by the “Best Culture Change and Engagement project” category, with 17 applications. According to the number of applications at the competition of HR Club Excellence Awards Gala, the most active HR professionals regarding the human resources projects implemented in 2012-2013 were those in the Production industry (40% of the applications), followed by professionals in the Banking industry (27% of the applications).
