The OpenSAP platform of free online courses reached 1 million registrations in 180 countries

OpenSAP platform of specialized online courses, an educational project developed by SAP to respond to the changes brought by the new digital era, has reached 1 million registrations in 180 countries, just three years after its launch, on which occasion it introduces three new free courses dedicated to users worldwide.

Today, people do not have time to go to traditional classroom courses. They want to be able to learn comfortably, by themselves and at their own pace, but without giving up the interaction with other colleagues.

In order to develop this project, SAP, world leader on the business software solutions and technology market collaborates with the Hasso Plattner Institute (HPI), with the head quarter in Postdam, Germany.

OpenSAP platform was designed to satisfy this need and it represents a cloud learning service which hosts free online courses dedicated to an unlimited number of people (MOOCs – Massive Open Online Courses).

"I'm enthusiastic by what openSAP offered to participants from more than 180 countries. The success of the platform is due to the way the educational products were designed - with the end user in mind. Our courses are relevant to careers specialists, but also to the everyday actions of employees. Whether you are a user of a SAP system or you are simply interested in digital technology, it is certain that the courses will have a huge impact in your work", said Professor Hasso Plattner, Chairman of Supervisory Board of SAP SE.
