In the current context, digitalization has become an undeniable reality, with many challenges in the education and training of specialists. POLITEHNICA University of Bucharest and Crystal System Group LTD took up the challenge, signing a collaboration agreement in July of this year, through which they laid the foundations of a partnership that has at its center quality education, the engine of long-term economic growth.
Through this partnership, the foundation stone of a network of Industry 4.0 laboratories (LNI-RO 4.0) in Romania was laid, which will then connect to the “Software Republique” of France and the German Industry 4.0 Platform and Labor Network Industry 4.0 (LNI4.0) to initiate a European Innovation Network focused on objectives such as digitizing industry and the economy, reducing CO2 emissions, smart cities, green energy and building a better future for the future generations.
"Recent studies show that almost half of Romanian companies are currently carrying out digitization projects. Basically, most of the industries for which we prepare future and current employees are in the process of restructuring their businesses, in order to make their resources and services compatible with the digital environment. Through the Laboratory we launch in partnership with Crystal System Group, we ensure that our students will be prepared for this new change, for Industry 4.0, right from college. It is one of a wider series of initiatives of the POLITEHNICA University of Bucharest, which aims to digitize the educational system, through which we offer our students much greater employment opportunities and a level of training that guarantees that they can use the latest solutions and technologies within the companies in which they are employed”- stated Mr. Mihnea COSTOIU - Rector of the POLITEHNICA University of Bucharest.
Also, Mr. Canzio Dovigo, President of Crystal System Group said: “We believe that the success of a company depends largely on the quality of training of the people who make it up. That is why we have always invested a lot of energy to train and educate the new generations of professionals. In this sense, we found in the POLITEHNICA University of Bucharest an ideal partner, with whom we can manage to direct these efforts to young people and industry. The Industry 4.0 lab launched today is a first step towards a larger ecosystem that aims to have a positive impact on a sustainable society. All these things would not have happened without the efforts of the Crystal System team and especially without the open mind of the Rector of UPB, Mr. Mihnea Costoiu, who provided us with an extraordinary platform for cooperation.
Thanks, and congratulations to all involved!”.
